Seeds For Haiti Campaign Internship Opportunity

Bassin Zim-EDF (www.seedsforhaiti.org) is a US based non-profit organization dedicated to providing short-term economic aid to disaster victims in Haïti's countryside, and help foster & supports long-term agricultural and environmental improvement in the Haïti. In brief, we support peasant-organizing, education, and women-owned businesses, youth movement, and serve as a conduit for financial donations from the international community to effectively reach these groups in Haiti.

We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic interns (college credit offered), dedicate to community organizing and empowerment initiatives amongst disenfranchised groups.  Candidates must have excellent communication and computer skills and the ability to contribute to our mission from day one. Previous non-profit/community service experience and office administrative experience is preferred but not required.


ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  -Ability to work independently while contributing to team-oriented goals.

  -Competency with Microsoft Office Applications.

  -Familiarity with Grant Proposal Writing.

  -Creative Fundraising Strategies & Management.

Internship is to last 3-4 months with regular by-weekly Group Meetings of 2-3 hours long.  A total commitment to this structure is imperative.

No Salary is being offered with these position(s).  Personal Satisfaction is achievable, and College Credit is a possibility based on the requirement of your particular educational institutional Program.  Please seek advisement from your school and/or program department.
